מצמץ
מִצְמֵץ(v. מָצַץ) to squeeze, suck, sip. Y.Ter.XI, 47d bot. במחוסרים למַצְמֵץ when they are too poor to be sucked out. Y.B. Mets.VII, beg.11b שלא יקלף בתאנים וִימַצְמֵץ בענבים he must not peel (taste the surface of) the figs or take a suck of the grapes (and throw them away); Y.Maasr.II, 50a bot. ומצמץ (read: ומְמַצְמֵץ). Gen. R. s. 60 (expl. משתאה, Gen. 24:21, as if fr. שָׁתָה) מְמַצְמֵץ ומביט בה he sipped (the water which she handed him) and looked at her; Yalk. ib. 109.
